This is the updated version of a spoof of Mecca-Cola's website, the latest attempt from a "moderated" and "peaceful" Muslim to finance terrorism, in the name of Allah.
With the unwitting (for some) help of the French tax payers' money and the cash of his "peaceful" Brothers of the Dumbest Religion (Houellebecq jurisprudence).
This new version was justified by the following disclaimer (which I translated below) and published by the French NGO MSF (Médecins Sans Frontières - French site here, global site here), which confirm our doubts when it comes to the real goal of Mecca-Cola's "charity" campaign.
What's more, these doubts were just strengthened by the content of a recent email the dissident frogman received, emanating from one "tawfik@mecca-cola.com" (which, until further information, we impute to the founder and director of Mecca-Cola, Tawfik Mathlouthi).

PRESS RELEASE

Disclaimer from Médecins Sans Frontières

Paris, November 14th, 2002.

The mecca-cola website mentions that 10% of the net profits from the sales of the beverage that bears the same name will be transfered to « european associations... such as Médecins Sans Frontières ». The Médecins Sans Frontières association states that it has never been in relation with the Mecca-Cola Foundation and denies any involvement with this operation. The association asked the people responsible for this website to remove this mention without delay. Pursuant to its funding precepts (independence from any power as well as any political, economical or religious force) Médecins Sans Frontières is particularly watchful pertaining to the source of its funds and leads accordingly a very strict partnership policy. Therefore, we cannnot agree to a settlement such as this one.

Further information can be obtained from MSF : Marie-Pierre Barre at +33 (0)1 40 21 28 21 - mbarre@paris.msf.org and Laurence Hugues at +33(0)1 40 21 28 43 - lhughes@paris.msf.org.
